EasyDD is a tool that scrapes stock related subreddits for due diligence posts and ticker mentions. It will specifically search for stock tickers and count how often they're used, as well as consolidate the most recent due diligence posts so that you can gain insight into current trends in the market based on online communities and their discussions.
It works by searching for text patterns with regular expressions to match the format of a typical stock ticker. Patterns include whether or not a dollar sign preceeds the ticker, if the ticker is fully capitalized, if it's between 1-6 letters, if it's in the right context, etc.
This parameter determines the amount of pages to parse through. Each page contains 25 posts. Adding more pages creates longer loading times. It automatically parses from the most recent posts to the oldest posts. |

This parameter determines how many tickers will appear in the list of most mentioned tickers within the data. |

This parameter determines if 1 letter long tickers are allowed. This is disabled by default because the scraper's logic cannot distinguish between single letter words and references to single letter tickers (enable at your own risk). You can compensate for this by adding more excluded words below. |
|
The scraper searches for capital letter sequences, which might include words that are not actually tickers. This parameter determines which words are excluded to be counted as tickers. To add more exclusions, type in a comma or space seperated list of tickers (case-sensitive) and click 'add words'. |
